These resistors have very high pulse load capability and are used in applications where the pulse load is not often repeated like in Wind and gas turbines and as discharge resistor in super capacitors DC-links. Overload values given in the table apply to single pulses every 30 minutes and range between 27 till 85 x nominal power. HVBS resistors are used in medium voltge systems up to 4200VDC.
