Label Sensors

Label Sensor

Label Sensors are used to apply labels on containers; two sensors are required:

1. The LABEL•EYE® Label Sensor triggers the precise label position on the peeler plate.
2. The Object Sensor detects the container that requires a label.

Suggested Sensors for this application type:

Can Dedector

Can Dedector

To sense cans with no gaps the preferred mode of sensing is Beam Break detection. We recommend the SMARTEYE® EZ-PRO™ and two F-A-36T fibers. With the fibers, aim the beam at a 45° angle at the top edge of the lid. Gaps and colors are not a problem with this reliable sensing technique.

Label Inspector

Label

To verify that labels are not missing on containers, sensors look for the fluorescent optical brighteners found in paper labels and ink.

Suggested Sensor for this application type: SMARTEYE® STEALTH-UV™

Seal Inspector
