Centrifugal Brakes

Centrifugal Brakes

A centrifugal brake has a fixed drum with a unit assembly disposed in the drum. When the unit group is rotated, the centrifugal force will remove all brake shoes. The liner is then pressed (pressurized) against the inner surface of the drum, which causes a braking effect on the rotating shaft.
